Circle of Security for New Parents

Free Eight-Week Online Parenting Program For New Parents. 

This group is for first-time parents, pregnant moms, and parents with children under six months old. Join us for a free 8-week parenting program that will help you:

  • Learn how to recognize your infant’s needs and better understand their behavior
  • Be supported as a parent and gain ideas on how to make parenting easier
  • Begin to understand your own reactions to your infant’s behavior

This program is designed to help you understand and respond to your infant’s needs, creating a better relationship.

Are you a father? Then this Circle of Security group is for you! We know how valuable fathers are in a children’s lives. This group is intended for all fathers, father figures and male caregivers.

Circle of Security may help you:

  • Better understand the child’s perspective during this process
  • Increase your empathetic response to the child(ren) in your care
  • Identify the need behind the behavior
  • Balance being a: “Bigger, Stronger, Wiser and Kinder” caregiver
  • Identify the child’s needs “hidden in plain sight”

If you’re looking for a group to help support the transitions expected during the foster care or adoption journey, this group could help you to:

Social and Emotional Playgroup for Children

This program happens at the same time as the parents’ group

  • Our activities build social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills
  • Playtime enhances social skills with peers
  • Self-confidence and esteem will be built

Dates: Mondays, September 19 to November 14, 2022
Location: ACES - 300 Washington Street, Middletown

Registration closes on September 9. Registration is required as seating is limited.
