Janine graduated from Becker College as a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) and Dominican College with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. She completed her Master of Science in therapeutic recreation with emphasis and research on hippotherapy/therapeutic horseback riding at Southern Connecticut State University.
Janine began working at Middlesex Health in 2014 as an acute care therapist working with patients with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac and pulmonary deficits in the hospital setting. She works in the critical care unit, is active in the early mobility program and has worked on the in patient psych unit. Janine specializes in early mobility of ventilated patients in the critical care unit. She also works as a clinical instructor for multiple students throughout the year.
Prior to joining Middlesex Health, Janine worked in pediatrics for seventeen years specializing in evaluation and treatment of children with sensory processing impairments and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also worked in short term rehab for ten years as well as owned and operated a therapeutic riding facility for several years.
