John Reach, Jr., MD is an orthopedic surgeon at Connecticut Orthopaedics and Middlesex Health.
Dr. Reach is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his fellowship in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction at Duke University Medical School and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Mayo Clinic, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Reach earned his medical degree from Georgetown University.
Dr. Reach has extensive experience in foot and ankle surgery and has been recognized nationally and internationally for his expertise. In fact, he is one of few surgeons certified in all available methods of total ankle replacement. He is an innovator in his field and pioneer in the use of advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound for soft-tissue and sports pathology. He has also served as a consultant for many orthopedic, imaging and insurance companies and conducts research on minimally invasive treatments for a range of foot and ankle conditions.
