Dr. Marlene Baldizón is a child psychologist with the Middlesex Health Family Advocacy Program.

Training & Expertise

Dr. Baldizón completed her predoctoral internship and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center; her postdoctoral work also took place at the Integrated Wellness Group in New Haven, CT.  She earned a master's degree in psychological studies, an Education Specialist degree in school psychology, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Seton Hall University. 

Dr. Baldizón has extensive experience in both clinical and non-clinical settings. She has practiced in community mental health clinics, hospitals, and private practices, and she has worked with a diverse population of children, adolescents, and adults. While employed by New Haven Public Schools, she served as a school psychologist, the Supervisor of School Psychology and Special Education, the Supervisor of Bilingual and English as a Second Language, and then as principal of a dual-language school. Dr. Baldizón has also held the position of Adjunct Professor in the Southern Connecticut State University Department of Counseling and School Psychology.

Comprehensive Care

Dr. Baldizón provides various types of psychotherapy—including play and individual—and psychological and educational assessment. She has a special interest in the assessment of bilingual intelligence and enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team to collaborate with community programs and schools.
