WESTBROOK—The Local Vision III exhibition, which highlights the work of 48 photographers, will open March 29 at the Valentine H. Zahn Gallery.

The gallery is located at the Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Center, 250 Flat Rock Place in Westbrook. Opening night will feature a special reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

The exhibition will remain on display until May 25.

Curated by Jan Ayer of Fresh Ayer Gallery, a three-judge panel selected the photographs that will be on display. Judges include Charles Havrda, chair of Guilford Savings Bank’s Board of Trustees; Jeffrey Lilly, publisher of INK Magazine; and Bob MacDonnell, a retired Hartford Courant staff photographer.

Photographers who are featured as part of the exhibition will receive 100 percent of all sales.

This the third year that the Zahn Gallery has held an open call for artwork through a curatorial process. This gives more artists an opportunity to display their work in the gallery. The gallery rotates exhibitions throughout the year, featuring local professional, amateur and student artists, and it creates a welcoming environment for those who receive care at the Shoreline Medical Center and the adjoining Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center location.

The gallery is open to the public during regular business hours. For more information about the gallery, contact 860-358-6200, or info@midhosp.org. Please see the attached document for a complete list of Local Vision III artists.
