Middlesex Hospital to Hold Event on Heart Disease in Women

The Women’s Wellness Fund at Middlesex Hospital will hold Heart-to-Heart, a conversation about heart disease in women, on February 28 at Chapman Hall at Middlesex Community College, 100 Training Hill Road in Middletown.

The event’s guest speaker will be Rekha Mankad, MD, of Mayo Clinic. Middlesex is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. WFSB anchor Denise D’Ascenzo will be master of ceremonies.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for registration and light refreshments. The event will begin at 6 p.m.

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the United States, and this event will focus on how cardiovascular disease affects women and how it can be prevented and treated.
