About

What is Better Breathers?

The Better Breathers Support Group helps patients with respiratory conditions cope with the challenges of their symptoms. In addition to support, participants gain access to free education about COPD, asthma, and other chronic lung illnesses.

Who runs this support group?

Better Breathers is facilitated by a trained counselor and includes guest lectures from rehabilitation therapists, pulmonologists (doctors who specialize in the respiratory system), and other experts in our community.

Who is this group for? What topics are covered?

Better Breathers is open to anyone with a chronic pulmonary condition and their caregivers. Each meeting covers a different topic of interest, and refreshments will be served.

The Better Breathers work together to ensure that the group meets their needs—participation is encouraged, and collaboration and sharing helps to enhance the educational and supportive aspects of the group. We are always looking for patient input on topics to cover, and we welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about respiratory issues.
