An approximately 2.5 hour*, entry level awareness program designed for the general public, parents, grandparents, babysitters, churches, clubs, and anyone else who is interested in knowing how to perform infant/child CPR and other potentially life-saving techniques.
*Class runs for approximately 2.5 - 3 hours, but length may vary slightly depending on the size of the class, number of questions asked, and experience level of participants.
This course covers:
- American Heart Association guidelines for the one rescuer adult and pediatric CPR
- relief of Foreign-Body Airway Obstruction
- chain of survival
- basic First-Aid
- recognizing the signs of heart attack and stroke

When you enter the hospital, walk towards the back, right side of the lobby, following signs for the South Elevators and the Pregnancy & Birth Center. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and turn right to enter the Pregnancy & Birth Center waiting area. The classroom door will be located on your left before the reception window.
Middlesex Hospital offers a large, free parking lot that is accessible from Crescent St. or from South Main St.
