One MacDonough Place prides itself in the exemplary care it delivers to its residents—and we pride ourselves on staff longevity, a tradition that keeps our staff happy and eager to make every day special for residents. We have 27 staff that have been at One MacDonough 10 years or longer and another 10 staff members who have been with us 5 years or longer. Those numbers speak to the dedication of the staff, who so lovingly deliver care to residents.
Jennifer Cavallaro: Executive Director
Jennifer joins One MacDonough Place with more than eighteen years as a geriatric professional with experience in community based services, skilled nursing and assisted living. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling & Psychology and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Her love for working with older adults came from the special relationship she had with her grandparents while growing up. Jennifer is passionate about ensuring that each resident residing at One MacDonough Place is fully engaged in life.
Mary Perrotti, BSN, RN: Nursing Director
Mary has worked for Middlesex Health for over 20 years in the Critical Care Unit, and she brings all this expertise and knowledge to our staff and residents. Mary's approach to healthcare is to find the best way her department can meet your needs.
Bonnie Leavy, Director of Marketing
Bonnie joins One MacDonough Place with extensive experience in marketing, community development, event planning, digital and social media, and advocacy. She holds an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Marketing. Bonnie is committed to promoting health and wellness to improve the lives of others and is passionate about assisting seniors and their families in choosing the right community to fit their individual needs. She loves building and cultivating relationships and being a resource to families.
Katelin Cummings, Program Director & Resident Service Coordinator
Katelin has a passion for the arts and holds a Masters in Recreation & Leisure Studies with a Concentration in Therapeutic Recreation, as well as a Certification in Animal Assisted Therapy. She prides herself on being an advocate for older adults, as well as those with disabilities and enjoys using her skills to improve quality of life for all residents at One MacDonough Place.
Ed Gorman, Culinary Certified from the Naval Academy: Dining Director
For more than 10 years, Ed has provided wonderful dining experiences for residents and staff of One MacDonough. His career began in the US Navy, where he received his training and was the chef on submarines. He spent nine years in the hotel and restaurant industry and has over 15 years of experience working in assisted living communities.
Len Schultz, Licensed Plumber: Facilities Director
Len was in-house overseer of One MacDonough prior to its formal opening in October 1998. He started his career as an electrician on a Naval Destroyer. After the Navy Len worked as a builder and then spent years in the hospitality industry. At One MacDonough, when things need fixing, we can count on Len.
