Donating to Support COVID-19 Efforts

Middlesex Health is overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of support we've received.

Thank you for your generosity as we work to keep our community as safe and healthy as possible!

Food for the Frontline

This fund will be used to purchase meals and snacks from local restaurants and retailers for frontline Middlesex Health workers. This means your donation will support both our frontline workers AND local restaurants and retailers.

Donating Plasma After COVID-19

If you had COVID-19 and are now fully recovered, you may be eligible to donate plasma, which is a component of blood.

Plasma from recovered COVID-19 patients contains antibodies that may be helpful in treating those who are seriously ill with COVID-19.

Due to increased demands on our health system and our community's generous desire to help, we have created an Emergency Response Fund.

Cloth Masks

Thank you to all those who made cloth face masks for our staff! Our staff members are using them every day, and we are so grateful for your support.

Due to your overwhelming generosity, we have collected enough masks for our team! However, we are continuing to collect pleated cloth masks so that we can distribute them to community members in need. We are partnering with a number of organizations in Middlesex County to ensure that everyone has access to proper protection.

We are currently asking for pleated cloth masks with ear loops. Our instructional PDF includes details, answers to FAQs, and step-by-step instructions with photos.

Note: We know that it may be difficult to find elastic for ear loops. Ear loops can be made with extra fabric, ribbon and many other alternatives—feel free to be creative! If you have questions, you can contact us at 860-358-6200 or

Middlesex Health is asking anyone who comes to our facilities for an appointment  to wear a face mask. Additionally, Governor Lamont has signed an executive order directing all Connecticut residents to wear a cloth face covering while in public places that don't allow for social distancing (six feet from others at all times).  Examples include grocery stores and pharmacies.

Visit our "Masks for You & Your Family" page to learn more and download patterns to make your own masks at home. There are even easy no-sew versions!

N95 Masks, Surgical Masks & Gloves

Middlesex Health is also grateful for donations of other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), or the items health care providers wear to protect them while caring for patients.

All items must be in original, unopened packaging.

We are currently accepting:

  • N95 respirators/masks
  • Disposable face masks/surgical masks
  • Disposable nitrile gloves
