Cancer Center To Host Men's Health Event

The Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center is hosting a Men’s Health and Wellness Day on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 381 Main Street, in Middletown.

This free outreach event is designed to provide access to health care and community services for those men in the Middletown area who have limited or no health insurance.

Services provided will include: general medical screening, prostate cancer screening and education, dental cleaning, blood pressure screening, sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, lung cancer risk screening, and foot care. Information on smoking cessation, cancer prevention and gambling/addiction services will be available. Massage therapy will also be provided.

Various local organizations will showcase information about other community services, including those for veterans. A hot breakfast will be provided and a Stop & Shop gift card will be given to the first 50 men in attendance.
