Gastrointestinal stromal tumor

Overview

Gastrointestinal stromal tumor is a digestive tract tumor. These tumors most often occur in the stomach or upper part of the small intestine. Tumors can also form in the large intestine, anus, and esophagus.

Symptoms

Symptoms may include pain or swelling in the belly, nausea, and weight loss.

Treatments

Treatments include surgery and targeted therapy drugs.
