Read about the significance of this quilt from its creator Lori Moskey Dumas.
"Making quilts is my passion! My maternal and paternal grandmothers were sewers, and I got my talent for sewing from them. Although they sewed out of necessity, I sew for pleasure.
When I travel to Connecticut to visit family and friends, I visit area fabric stores for ideas for my next quilt creations. In the fall of 2021, I was at Colchester Mills with my friend and stumbled across a line of fabric named "Ombre." Immediately I knew this fabric should be used in a quilt to support the goPINK+ Project.
This quilt, Ombre Blooms, symbolizes the many colors of cancer. It's not just pink anymore. As this journey towards awareness continues to blossom, bloom and touch the lives of many people in this community and surrounding communities."
