Melissa Dest, MS, NP-C, APRN is a nurse practitioner at Middlesex Health Occupational & Environmental Medicine.
Melissa is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She completed her residency at the Connecticut VA Health Care System's Center of Excellence in Primary Care Education. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Connecticut and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University. Melissa also holds bachelor's degrees in Biology and French Language & Literature from Villanova University.
In her practice at Middlesex, Melissa cares for patients who have experienced an occupational injury or exposure, as well as those who require pre-employment evaluations for high risk jobs. Melissa also performs DOT physical exams. She has previous experience as an inpatient nurse in a wide range of hospital settings.
