Bio

Shikha M. Sarkar, MD is a fellowship-trained pediatrician and neonatologist/inpatient infant care physician at the Middlesex Health Pregnancy & Birth Center.

Education & Training

Dr. Sarkar is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in two specialties—neonatal-perinatal medicine and pediatrics. She completed her first fellowship, in pediatric hematology/oncology, at the Washington University School of Medicine and her second, in neonatal-perinatal medicine, at UConn Health. Dr. Sarkar performed residencies in pediatrics at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Connecticut Children's Medical Center, after performing her internship at Seth G.S. Medical College. She earned her medical degree at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College.

Expertise & Compassionate Care

Dr. Sarkar provides care for newborns at the Middlesex Health Pregnancy & Birth Center, including children who receive extra support in the Special Care Nursery.
