John M. Carbone, MD

Bio

John Carbone, MD is a primary care provider specializing in evidence-based mindfulness medicine at Middlesex Health Primary Care.

Education & Training

Dr. Carbone is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He completed his residency with the Middlesex Health Family Medicine Residency Program and earned his medical degree from the UConn Health School of Medicine. 

Dr. Carbone has also completed practicum training in mindfulness-based stress reduction through the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. He has been trained as a Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator by internationally-renowned meditation expert Shinzen Young. He has also studied with other pioneers in the field of integration of meditation and health care, including Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD and Deepak Chopra, MD.
