Middlesex Hospital's response to emergent situations and the patient's right to refuse interpretive services

When clinicians respond to an emergent situation, the provider may believe waiting for an interpreter will delay care and therefore respond to the emergency first. Following treatment, an interpreter will be utilized. Also, if you refuse an interpreter, our clinicians may still provide interpretive services to ensure information is shared in the most accurate and informative manner possible.
