Middlesex Health Wellness Programs
Your wellbeing is paramount – emotionally, physically, and financially. When you spend your days and nights caring generously for others, it’s important to take the time to look after yourself, too. We provide a variety of programs and resources to help motivate and support your total wellbeing in everyday life.
Employee Assistance Program
At Middlesex Health, we know that our employees are our most valuable asset. But, we also know that life presents challenges— that is why Middlesex Health offers two different employee assistance programs to provide you and your loved one's support and guidance through those uncertain times.
At Middlesex Health, we are committed to providing compassionate care that respects the beliefs and needs of each person. Our philosophy is that healing involves the whole person - mind, body, and soul. Therefore, our spiritual care department supports patients, their loved ones, hospital employees, and volunteers as they cope with the emotional and spiritual impact of illness, injury, or crisis.
The integrative medicine program offers several therapies that can relieve pain and improve your state of mind.
Middlesex Health employees get discounts on all services and some services may be covered by insurance.
Middlesex Health's Rejuvenation Station provides a calming place for staff to relax and recover. The room features a massage chair, zero-gravity chairs, salt lamps, and calming music. Staff can access the wellness room 24/7. The room is located in the hallway of North 2, just down the hall from the CCU entrance.
Middlesex Health Lifestyle Medicine focuses on six areas in which patients can improve their health: Nutrition, Physical Activity, Relationships, Stress Reduction, Sleep, and Use of Risky Substances. We believe that every person can take steps to achieve their wellness goals, and our board-certified lifestyle medicine clinicians will guide you every step of the way.
Middlesex Health offers a number of ways for you to save money! Our discounts range from local to national offers and most can help support you and your loved ones so you can achieve your health and fitness goals.

Peer to peer
The purpose of the Peer to Peer Support Program is to provide support to colleagues following traumatic or stressful workplace events. Working in health care increases the risk that one will be exposed to many difficult experiences and situations. However, with the proper support, nurses can minimize the effects of these events and continue to provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Peer to peer support for clinical staff coping with stress following a traumatic event. More information for current employees here. Contact Mary Allegra at email@example.com
