Middlesex Health offers counseling to employees and their immediate family members.

Your wellbeing is paramount – emotionally, physically, and financially. When you spend your days and nights caring generously for others, it’s important to take the time to look after yourself, too. We provide a variety of programs and resources to help motivate and support your total wellbeing in everyday life.

Integrative Medicine

The integrative medicine program  offers several therapies that can relieve pain and improve your state of mind.

Rejuvenation Station 
RS

Middlesex Health's Rejuvenation Station provides a calming place for staff to relax and recover. The room features a massage chair, zero-gravity chairs, salt lamps, and calming music. Staff can access the wellness room 24/7. The room is located in the hallway of North 2, just down the hall from the CCU entrance. 


Lifestyle Medicine

Middlesex Health Lifestyle Medicine focuses on six areas in which patients can improve their health: Nutrition, Physical Activity, Relationships, Stress Reduction, Sleep, and Use of Risky Substances. We believe that every person can take steps to achieve their wellness goals, and our board-certified lifestyle medicine clinicians will guide you every step of the way.

The Wellness Rewards Program is an incentive program sponsored by Employee Health and Wellness for all employees. Designed to reward each employee for taking personal responsibility in maintaining their health and wellness.

Point Calculations for Reward
30 minutes of activity =      1 Point
5 hours of activity =          10 Points
50 points =                         $10.00 gift card

Lactation Rooms
Lac 2

We have a lactation room for employees located on the third floor of the hospital. ( make an immediate left out of the main elevators onto third floor and it is located in the hallway) There is a mini fridge, sink, and medela symphony hospital grade pump available for employees to use. Employees can also join our breastfeeding support group weekly on Tuesdays.


Middlesex Health Center for Mindfulness & Compassion

This group provides mindfulness education and training to staff and community members to promote ongoing personal development in a safe and supportive environment with special attention to employee satisfaction and community outreach.

The Holistic CARE Team (HCT) is committed to fostering relationship-centered care by embracing an interdisciplinary philosophy of holism. Our passion is to facilitate innate self-healing and restore the balance of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of self by creating an optimal healing environment shared with patients and staff in all settings. We promote caring, healing practices that complement and enrich conventional medicine to restore health, quality of life, and well-being.

Peer to peer

The purpose of the Peer to Peer Support Program is to provide support to colleagues following traumatic or stressful workplace events. Working in health care increases the risk that one will be exposed to many difficult experiences and situations. However, with the proper support, nurses can minimize the effects of these events and continue to provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Schwartz Rounds

Monthly meetings that allow health care providers a regularly scheduled time to openly and honestly share and discuss the social and emotional issues they face in caring for patients and families.
