Bio

Edward G. Myer, MD is a urologist and urologic surgeon at Middlesex Health Urology.

Education & Training

Dr. Myer is certified by the American Board of Urology. He completed residencies in general surgery and urology at UConn Health, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. Dr. Myer earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences). 

Dr. Myer also holds an M.A. from Boston College.

Expertise & Compassionate Care

Dr. Myer specializes in minimally invasive surgical treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the genitourinary system—the organs of the reproductive and urinary systems. This includes stone disease (kidney stones), voiding dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and cancers of the kidney, bladder and prostate.

In addition to his clinical skills, Dr. Myer is an experienced research scientist. He has conducted studies related to robot-assisted laparoscopic techniques for complex bladder and kidney conditions, as well as renal cancer surgery.
