About Our Program

Mindfulness is a certain way of paying attention—on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.

Mindfulness may be effective in reducing the effects of various conditions that may be caused or worsened by stress.

Any patient of MHPC who has stress, or conditions shown to be caused or exacerbated by stress—such as hypertension, anxiety, insomnia, depression, psoriasis, IBS, and others—is eligible for the program.

Visits are billed to insurance as counseling/treatment for medical conditions such as hypertension, anxiety, insomnia, depression, psoriasis, IBS, and others.

The visits are subject, of course, to standard copays and deductibles.

Ask your Primary Care Provider and/or the Front Staff at the MHPC Middletown Office for information, or call us at 860-358-3130.
