The Mayer Center provides comprehensive care for children and adolescents with various developmental challenges. Our center offers services to meet the physical, emotional, and behavioral needs of children with a wide range of developmental disorders.

We understand that the children we treat require a multidisciplinary approach, ongoing care, advocacy, and compassionate services.  We also understand that receiving an accurate diagnosis and obtaining multiple services can be challenging, and this center hopes to remove these barriers.

Our state-of-the-art facility is specifically designed for children and adolescents of all ages and abilities. The space includes dedicated treatment areas for physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech therapy (ST), and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In addition, the center is home to an extensive sensory gym with equipment designed to allow the exploration of sensory needs and build on self-regulation skills.

We look forward to collaborating with our families and children to offer a growing range of services in one location.

For physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology, you will need a referral.

Referrals for OT/PT/Speech -  Please fax to: 860-358-2727
Referrals for Behavioral Health for Autism - Please fax to: 860-358-3403

Yes, our diagnosticians can evaluate your child for potential developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Contact us to make an appointment with one of our diagnosticians.

We will need a copy of your child's autism spectrum disorder diagnosis and your insurance information. If your child has not yet been diagnosed with autism, you can request an appointment with one of our diagnosticians.

We understand that your time is precious, and our goal is to make sure that you get the most out of your visit with us. Please consider this short "to do" list—taking a few simple steps can help us ensure that we meet all of your expectations.

  • Make a list of your questions & concerns
Writing questions or concerns out ahead of time helps you and your doctor plan your visit. Plus, it reduces the chance of forgetting to mention something important.
  • Prioritize your concerns
Ask us your most pressing questions first! This ensures that we have plenty of time to fully address what you are most concerned about, as there are some time constraints on your visit with us.
  • Bring a list of your medications
In order to have the most productive conversations about your medications, it is essential that your entire care team knows exactly what your child takes.
  • Fill out the appropriate paperwork.

Thank you for helping make your visit a success. We look forward to seeing you soon!
