Achondroplasia

Overview

A majority of people with achondroplasia are born to parents of average height. Most cases of dwarfism are genetic disorders.

Symptoms

People with achondroplasia typically have short arms and legs, an enlarged head, and an average-sized trunk.

Treatments

Treatments don't increase stature but help lessen complications, such as surgery to correct spinal curvature.
