Adenitis

Overview

Adenitis is the inflammation of a gland or infection-fighting node (lymph node). It is caused by an infection. The gland or node may be swollen and tender.

Symptoms

Symptoms can include fever.

Treatments

Treatment may include antibiotics and other medications. Severe cases may require diagnostic tests, drainage, or surgery.
