Asthma

Overview

In asthma, the airways narrow and swell and produce extra mucus.

Symptoms

This can make breathing difficult and trigger coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. Asthma can be minor or interfere with daily activities. In some cases, it may lead to a life-threatening attack.

Treatments

The condition usually can be controlled with medications.
