Astigmatism

Overview

Astigmatism is a common imperfection in the eye's curvature. The front surface of the eye or the lens, inside the eye, is curved differently in 1 direction than the other.

Symptoms

This can blur vision.

Treatments

Treatments include prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses. Laser-assisted surgery, such as LASIK, also may help.
