A condition that causes dry, itchy, and inflamed skin. It's also called eczema.

Atopic dermatitis causes dry, itchy, inflamed skin. It's also called eczema.

Symptoms

The symptoms of atopic dermatitis can show up anywhere on the body, vary widely from person to person, and may include:

  • Dry, cracked skin.
  • Itchiness.
  • A rash on swollen skin.

Treatments

Treatment includes moisturizing at least twice a day and avoiding soap and other irritants.
