Blindness

Overview

Blindness is the complete or partial loss of vision. Many causes exist, including accidents, diabetes, and certain eye diseases.

Symptoms

Blindness can occur suddenly or over a period of time. Often there's no pain.

Treatments

Suddenly occurring blindness requires emergency medical treatment. People with blindness can lead full, productive lives.
