Overview

Candidiasis is an infection with a fungus belonging to the genus candida. It typically occurs on the skin or mucous membranes. Examples include the mouth (oral thrush) and the vagina (yeast infection).

Symptoms

Symptoms vary depending on the area affected but may include creamy, white lesions or discharge.
