Carcinoid
Overview
A carcinoid tumor is a type of slow-growing cancer that can arise in several places in the body. It often begins in the stomach, appendix, small intestine, colon, rectum, or lungs.
Symptoms
Symptoms often don't appear until late in the disease and are vague. Examples include diarrhea and skin flushing.
Treatments
Treatment includes surgery and medications.
