Cardiogenic shock
Overview
Cardiogenic shock is a condition in which the heart suddenly can't pump enough blood. It's often due to a severe heart attack.
Symptoms
Symptoms include rapid breathing, severe shortness of breath, confusion, and sudden, rapid heartbeat.
Treatments
Emergency life support is needed. Treatment often includes medication and surgery.
