Catatonia

Overview

Catatonia is a behavioral syndrome marked by an inability to move normally, which is associated with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses

Symptoms

Catatonia may involve symptoms, such as lack of movement, fast or strange movements, lack of speech, and other unusual behavior.

Treatments

Treatment includes medication or shock (electroconvulsive) therapy.
