Chronic pain


Chronic pain is persistent pain that lasts weeks, months, or years. Any type of pain can become chronic, including arthritis pain, headache, back pain, and cancer pain. The pain may be due to injury. In some cases, there isn't a clear cause of the pain.


Treatments include medications, acupuncture, electrical stimulation, and surgery.
