Colles' fracture


Colles' fracture is a common wrist fracture in which the broken fragment of the radius tilts upward. The condition usually occurs when someone falls on an outstretched hand.


Symptoms include severe pain, swelling, and tenderness.


Treatment may include a splint or cast, surgery, and physical therapy.
