Conversion disorder

Conversion disorder is a condition in which emotional stress is converted to physical symptoms. There's no physical cause for the symptoms.

Symptoms tend to affect movement or the senses, such as the ability to walk or hear. Symptoms may come and go or persist.

Treatments include counseling, physical therapy, and medications.
