In cases involving seizure disorders, wearing a medical bracelet listing contacts, medications, and drug allergies can help medical personnel during an emergency.
When to seek immediate medical care
See a doctor immediately if:
- Lasts more than five minutes
- Immediately followed by a second episode
- First convulsion, or seizure
- Pregnant, injured, or diabetic
- Abnormal behavior after convulsion
When to make a doctor's appointment
Make an appointment to see a doctor if:
- Any seizure occurs
