When to make a doctor's appointment
Make an appointment to see a healthcare professional if the deformity is:
- Painful
- Affecting everyday activities.
- Growing more disfigured.
- Accompanied by new deformities.
- Changing in how it feels, such as from soft to hard.
- Affecting senses or functions of the body, such as vision, smelling, hearing, touch, taste or going to the bathroom.
