Increase fluids, including cranberry juice or Vitamin C drinks to acidify the urine. Many doctors will treat over the phone if symptoms are straightforward.

  • Pregnant
  • Unusual discharge from penis or vagina
  • Blood in urine
  • Fever
  • Back pain or side pain

Make an appointment to see a doctor if:

  • Persists
  • Urgent and frequent need to urinate
  • Recurrent episodes
