Epidural hematoma

Overview

Epidural hematoma is a serious, frequently fatal condition in which blood accumulates between the skull and brain. The cause is a head injury.

Symptoms

Symptoms include a severe headache, vomiting, confusion, dizziness, and going in and out of consciousness.

Treatments

Most cases require medications and emergency surgery.
