Self-care
Self-care options include a regular sleep schedule, healthy diet, and regular exercise. Consuming less caffeine during the day and avoiding caffeine at night may help.
When to seek immediate medical care
See a doctor immediately if:
- Accompanied by severe pain
- Having chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or shortness of breath
- Abnormal bleeding
- Feeling faint
- Thinking about suicide
When to make a doctor's appointment
Make an appointment to see a doctor if:
- Fatigue lasts two weeks or longer
- Fatigue interferes with ability to work or complete daily tasks
- Feeling sad or a sense of feeling slowed down
