Gastritis

Overview

Gastritis is any of a group of conditions in which the stomach lining is inflamed. Causes include infection, injury, regular use of pain pills, and too much alcohol.

Symptoms

Symptoms include upper belly pain, nausea, and vomiting. Sometimes, there are no symptoms.

Treatments

Treatment depends on the cause. Antibiotics and antacids might help.
