A type of cancer that starts in the brain or spine.

Overview

Glioblastoma is a type of cancer that starts in the brain or spine. It grows quickly and can invade and destroy healthy tissue. It happens more often in older adults and people assigned male at birth.

Symptoms

Symptoms may include headache, nausea and vomiting, blurred vision, and seizures.

Treatments

There is no cure for glioblastoma. Treatments may include surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Other treatments are electrical fields and targeted medicines.
