When to seek immediate medical care

Seek emergency help if:

  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Severely harming oneself

When to make a doctor's appointment

Make an appointment to see a doctor if:

  • Feeling down or depressed
  • Interrupted sleep or loss of appetite
  • Affects relationships at work, school, or home
  • Difficult to control
