Slow down and take deep breaths before responding to situations that provoke hostility. Regular exercise, adequate sleep, a balanced diet, and abstinence from alcohol may also help.
When to make a doctor's appointment
See a doctor if:
- Affects relationships at work, school, or home
- Difficult to control
- Feeling down or depressed, interrupted sleep, or loss of appetite
