Hot flash
Description
Sudden feeling of heat, which often starts over the face, neck and upper chest, as well as heavy sweating, most often due to menopause.
Self-care
Stay away from triggers, such as spicy foods, hot drinks, caffeine, tobacco and alcohol. Stay in cool places and use fans. Dress in layers that can be taken off. Losing weight also might help.

- Hot flashes affect daily activities or sleep.
