Hyperparathyroidism
Overview
Hyperparathyroidism is a condition involving excess hormone made by 4 small glands in the neck (parathyroid glands). The hormone helps manage the amount of calcium in the blood.
Symptoms
Signs and symptoms vary but may include fragile bones, kidney stones, and excessive urination.
Treatments
Treatments can include monitoring the condition, surgery, and drugs.
