Inborn error of metabolism is a group of conditions in which the body can't properly convert food into energy. There are many types, including sugar intolerance.


Symptoms may include poor feeding, vomiting, and lethargy. The condition can cause developmental delays.


Treatment involves dietary changes and medications.
