Overview

Painful bladder syndrome (interstitial cystitis) is a chronic condition that affects the organ that stores urine (bladder).

Symptoms

Bladder pressure, bladder pain, frequent urge to urinate, and pelvic pain are some symptoms.

Treatments

Treatments such as medications, physical therapy, and nerve stimulation may offer pain relief.
