Mastocytosis

Overview

Mastocytosis is a condition in which the body has too many of a type of disease-fighting and wound-healing cells (mast cells).

Symptoms

Skin flushing, itching, rapid heartbeat, and cramps are some symptoms. Symptom triggers include alcohol, heat, cold, spicy foods, and medications.

Treatments

Treatments include medications, injections, and trigger avoidance.
