Myopia

Overview

Nearsightedness (myopia) is an eye condition in which someone can see close items clearly but faraway objects appear blurry. Nearsightedness tends to run in families. The condition may develop gradually or rapidly.

Treatments

Treatment options include eyeglasses, contact lenses, and surgery such as LASEK.
