Overview

Narcolepsy is a chronic sleep disorder that causes overwhelming daytime drowsiness and sudden attacks of sleep.

Symptoms

Sudden loss of muscle tone and hallucinations might occur.

Treatments

Stimulants, antidepressants, and other medications can help.
